The Adult, Career and Technical Preparation Division provides lifelong educational opportunities and services to address the unique needs of individuals and communities by providing adult students with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate effectively as citizens, workers, parents and family members.

Adult Education has been a part of the Sacramento City Unified School District’s public education program since 1872, providing 131 years of service to the Sacramento community.  The adult education program has grown to include day, evening, and Saturday classes which meet the needs of the total community.  Classes are held in a variety of school and non-school locations throughout the community.
