Hacienda La Puente Adult Education

Hacienda La Puente Adult Education (HLPAE) serves the communities of La Puente, City of Industry and Hacienda Heights providing educational services for adults who need a high school diploma, upgrading of educational skills, expanding individual interests and vocational training and retraining for salable skills. Hacienda La Puente Adult Education is a comprehensive public school serving more than 37,000 adult students annually.

As a post secondary institution HLPAE presents entry level and advanced courses in business, health, technology and trade careers. HLPAE also offers concurrent basic academic skills, high school diploma, GED preparation, citizenship and English as a Second Language.

HLPAE is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges as well as being a state approved GED testing center, and an approved assessment center for Vocational Rehabilitation, CalWORKs/GAIN, and Workman’s Compensation clients.

HLPAE also provides job training for disabled adults, a variety of courses for older adults, and a wide selection of special-interest courses, workshops and seminars.

HLPAE Workforce and Community Development unit provides adult students with career planning, employment screening, job interview coaching and placement services. Also, students may apply for Financial Aid (PELL) and Work Study opportunities.

Hacienda La Puente Adult Education is constantly renewing itself to meet the needs of the community, the demands of the workplace, and the life long learning desires of all adults.
